This week, I appear on many radio shows including nationally syndicated show like Lars Larson and appeared this morning on Sirius XM, Channel 125, The Patriot I cohosted the Lou Desmond Show, and our guest was Sheriff William Honsal of Humboldt County, California. Bill has been sheriff since 2017 and it was an incredible interview including how to police is such a vast and difficult terrain. Humboldt County is on the Pacific Ocean but also has some of the highest mountain ranges and dense forested areas. It was the topic of the 2018 Netflix Documentary, Murder Mountain where an average of 717 people per 100,000 residents were reported missing per year between 2000-2016. Please watch this interview in the link below to see the full show!
I published a new Perspective on Oikophobia, the abnormal fear or hatred of one's own home or household is a pervasive yet oft-overlooked phenomenon that can have profound implications for crime, culture, and public policy in the United States. This irrational aversion to the familiar can manifest in a variety of ways, ranging from a general disdain for one's hometown or state to an outright rejection of American values and principles. Speaking of Oikophobia on Thursday, Ilhan Omar's daughter Isra Hirsi revealed that she had been suspended from Barnard College at Columbia University over her involvement in anti-Israel protests on campus. The on-campus activists staging a sit-in in the quad chant antisemitic slogans about the overtaking of Israel by Palestinians and the eradication of the nation entirely. They chant that "Palestine is Arab" and call to "raise the banner of the revolution." Arrests continued into Thursday, and by the afternoon, the New York Police Department was loading students onto buses to be taken away from the university.
Please check out my work on The Deadly Fentanyl Trade: Unraveling China's Role in the Epidemic. The impact of China's involvement in the fentanyl crisis cannot be overstated. Families have been torn apart, communities ravaged, and healthcare systems strained to the breaking point. For the first time in U.S. history, fatal overdoses peaked in 2023 above 112,000 deaths. China's involvement in the fentanyl trade is not a mere coincidence; it's a strategic economic maneuver with devastating consequences. The influx of Chinese nationals involved in the trafficking of fentanyl across international borders plays a pivotal role in ensuring the distribution of this lethal substance into the United States and beyond. Last year, U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported 37,000 Chinese citizens were apprehended crossing illegally from Mexico into the U.S. which is 50 times more than two years earlier.
An 18-year-old high school student who identifies as transgender was arrested and charged over alleged plans to shoot up a Montgomery County, Maryland school. The suspect had a 129-page manifesto in which the student strategized how to undertake the crime. Andrea Ye, of Rockville, who goes by Alex Ye was arrested on Wednesday by local Montgomery County Police. This follows an investigation carried out by local police in association with the FBI field office out of Baltimore. The manifesto was discovered after a search warrant was carried out. The manifest said, "I want to shoot up my school. I've been preparing for it for the past few months. As I sit in front of my dad's gun case and stare at the sleek, black gun inside, all I can think about is my finger on the trigger, taking aim, and killing people. The gun is an AR-15 style semi-automatic rifle. It's the kind of gun with a long barrel and a stock you put up against your shoulder. The gun is going to change lives tomorrow. As I walk through the hallways, I cherry pick the classrooms that are the easiest targets. These ones are close to the entrance and have windows in the doors. I need to figure out how I'll sneak the gun in. Maybe a duffel bag will work. I just hope security doesn't stop me."
IN Phoenix, three women have been indicted, and half a million worth of stolen health and beauty products have been recovered following a large-scale organized retail theft investigation. The results of the long-term investigation were announced Thursday during a joint news conference hosted by Phoenix police and the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. According to County Attorney Rachel Mitchell, the bust involved 12 pallets of stolen merchandise, roughly 20,000 cosmetics, worth approximately $560,000.
