I’m thrilled to announce that my book released last year, The Advent of Feral Man, is now available exclusively on my Substack at drcurriemyers.substack.com for paid subscribers only. In this work, I explore compelling evidence that over the past decade, America has been accelerating toward a disturbing trend—the “wilding” of the humans. This unraveling is deeply rooted in the erosion of faith, the breakdown of the family, and the absence of moral formation in our culture. If you're a subscriber, you’ll gain access to this book along with all my previously published work. I truly hope you find it as thought-provoking to read as it was fulfilling to write.

Don’t forget, you can also listen to this podcast on Spotify—just search America’s Criminologist with Dr. Currie Myers. And stay connected with me on X @DrCurrieMyers—an essential platform where I share commentary, research, and updates.

If you’re looking for more, I’m hosting two additional podcasts you might enjoy. The first is The St. Michaels Group Podcast at stmichaelsgroup.substack.com, where we focus on restoring the pillars of faith, family, and moral formation. The second is a gripping exploration of criminal psychology called Wired to Kill, available at wiredtokill.substack.com. This one dives into real criminal cases, laced with my professional insights into what may have been going on in the mind of the killer.

Policy Brief: America’s 25 Most Dangerous Cities (2025 Edition)

The illusion of safety peddled by progressive reformers is shattered by data. The most dangerous cities in America suffer from a confluence of decriminalization, demoralization, depleted ranks, and judicial dysfunction. But from an applied criminology lens, the crisis is even deeper: a collapse in order, accountability, and collective virtue. Until we restore the foundational principles of deterrence, punishment, and formation, these urban centers will remain breeding grounds for violence and social decay.

For 2024, the total line of duty deaths in law enforcement was 145 officers. So far in 2025 there have been 34 law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. In June we have had six officer deaths as of this date. St Michael Pray for them, their families, and us!

Okay here is Dr C’s top five blitz on CJ News and Information for this week:

Supreme Court Backs Trump-Era Immigration Deportation Rule in 6-3 Decision

In a 6-3 ruling, the Supreme Court has sided with the Trump administration by staying a lower court injunction that had previously blocked the swift deportation of certain migrants to third countries without advance notice. This decision allows immigration authorities to resume expedited removal under the Trump-era enforcement model while litigation continues—marking a victory for the administration’s more hardline approach to immigration enforcement.

Dr. C’s Take:
Finally, a dose of common sense from the highest bench in the land. This ruling slams the brakes on judicial activism that’s been handcuffing immigration enforcement for years. Here’s the truth: If someone enters illegally and poses no legitimate asylum claim, why should we give them a concierge deportation experience?

The Supreme Court’s decision restores the ability for our federal agencies to operate efficiently and enforce immigration laws without bureaucratic molasses and activist judges gumming up the process. The real win here isn’t partisan—it’s for the rule of law and border security.

We are either a sovereign nation or we’re not. And if you want to see what happens when you stop deporting people who break your immigration laws, just ask New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles how that’s working out.

Federal Agents Arrest 11 Iranian Nationals Across U.S.—Including IRGC-Linked Suspect

In a coordinated federal operation over the last 48 hours, 11 Iranian foreign nationals have been arrested in nine cities across eight states. One of those arrested was already on a federal watchlist, and at least one individual is confirmed to be a former member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)—a U.S.-designated terrorist organization.

Dr. C’s Take:
And there it is—what I’ve been warning about for months: embedded threats inside the homeland. This is not “conspiracy theory,” it’s counterintelligence 101. When you open the gates wide, don’t be shocked when the wolves walk right in. We’ve got IRGC members playing tourist across American soil? That’s not just a border failure—it’s a national security meltdown.

This is why border security isn’t about immigration—it’s about infiltration. The Biden administration’s “catch-and-release” strategy just became “catch-and-regret.” These aren’t folks looking for a better life; they’re operatives probing our soft spots—schools, churches, critical infrastructure, and yes, law enforcement agencies.

This should be the wake-up call that finally puts to rest the naive idea that immigration enforcement and national security are separate issues. They’re married at the hip—and the marriage counselor is a federal judge with a 9mm under the bench.

Democrat Nominee for NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani Supports Defunding Police and Abolishing Prisons

Zohran Kwame Mamdani, the Democratic Party's official nominee for mayor of New York City, has a long-standing history of radical criminal justice positions—including calls to defund the police and abolish the prison system altogether. In one of his now-infamous statements, Mamdani said, “We can abolish [the criminal-legal] system.” His nomination reflects the growing strength of the Democratic Socialist wing in America's largest city and its continued drift from traditional law and order governance.

Dr. C’s Take:
Folks, we’ve moved beyond “progressive.” We are now fully in revolutionary territory. When a man openly calling to abolish the criminal justice system becomes the Democratic nominee in America’s largest city, it’s no longer just a New York problem—it’s a national crisis.

Mamdani’s ideology isn’t reform—it’s dismantling. He’s not interested in better policing or safer communities. He’s openly promoting an anarcho-socialist fantasy where criminals are “victims,” and law enforcement is the enemy of the people. In his worldview, the only thing standing between a utopia of Marxist equity and capitalist oppression is... your local beat cop.

Let me say this loud and clear for the NYPD: Start polishing your resumes. If this guy wins, don’t walk—run to other jurisdictions that still believe in enforcing the law. We’ll welcome you in flyover country with open arms and a hot meal.

And to the voters of New York? You’re not electing a mayor. You’re voting on whether civilization itself still matters. More to come as I am going to opine further on the issue next week!

Cudahy Vice Mayor Cynthia Gonzalez Calls for Violence Against ICE Agents—Promotes 18th Street Gang

In a disturbing display of radical rhetoric, Cudahy, California’s Vice Mayor Cynthia Gonzalez publicly called for criminal street gangs—specifically the notoriously violent 18th Street Gang—to rise up against ICE agents. Her comments, which border on incitement, come amid a reported 500% increase in assaults on ICE officers nationwide. Secretary Noem responded swiftly, vowing full federal prosecution for any assaults against federal law enforcement.

Dr. C’s Take:
Let’s call this what it is: domestic incitement of violence against federal law enforcement—from an elected official. You can’t make this up. The Vice Mayor of an American city just gave rhetorical aid and comfort to one of the most violent transnational gangs in the Western Hemisphere—and directed it toward our brave men and women of ICE.

This isn’t just “bad optics.” It’s criminally reckless, morally bankrupt, and disqualifying. If a white conservative mayor had told Proud Boys to go after federal agents, CNN would be holding an all-week vigil.

Instead, Gonzalez will probably be praised in her circle for “speaking truth to power”—as if encouraging gangland warfare on American soil is some kind of virtue signal.

Here’s the deal: ICE agents aren’t the enemy—gangs like 18th Street are. And when an elected official sides with the cartel over the Constitution, it’s time for them to resign or be removed. Period.

And for the record, Secretary Noem’s response is spot-on: if you assault a federal officer, expect the full force of federal law. As it should be.

Alabama Chiropractor Found Guilty of Poisoning Wife With Lead During Divorce

Brian Mann, a 36-year-old chiropractor from Decatur, Alabama, has been found guilty of attempted murder after a three-day trial revealed he poisoned his estranged wife with lead during their divorce. Court records show Mann covertly administered lead particles—allegedly left over from the construction of an X-ray room at his clinic—into her food or drink. His now-ex-wife, Pettey, bravely testified against him. Sentencing is scheduled for August 27.

Dr. C’s Take:
Well, this isn’t your run-of-the-mill toxic divorce—this one’s literally toxic. A guy who swore an oath to “do no harm” decided instead to go full Dr. Mengele with lead-based therapy... without consent. This wasn’t a crime of passion—it was cold, calculated homicidal science with a dash of radiological DIY.

Let’s be blunt: attempted murder through slow poisoning takes a special kind of evil. You have to plan it, execute it over time, and then act innocent while your victim wastes away. The lead wasn't just in her bloodstream—it was in the soul of this man.

And here’s a deeper truth: this case highlights a dark corner of domestic crime that doesn't involve fists or firearms—but instead, forensic subtlety and monstrous patience. It’s why law enforcement, medical examiners, and prosecutors need to stay sharp on nontraditional murder methods. Here’s hoping the sentencing judge gives him the full periodic table of justice come August 27.

U.S. Treasury Sanctions Three Mexican Banks for Laundering Cartel Drug Money Under New Fentanyl Law

In a landmark enforcement action, the U.S. Treasury Department has imposed sanctions on three Mexico-based banks—CIBanco, Intercam Banco, and Vector Casa de Bolsa—accused of laundering millions for drug cartels, particularly linked to fentanyl trafficking. This is the first use of Treasury's authority under the Fentanyl Sanctions Act and the FEND Off Fentanyl Act, allowing them to aggressively disrupt financial networks tied to synthetic opioid trafficking. The sanctions effectively sever these banks from access to the U.S. financial system.

Dr. C’s Take:
Now we’re talking—follow the money, choke the beast. If you want to take down a cartel, don’t just seize drugs and guns. Go after their bankers. These sanctions are a long-overdue reminder that cartels aren't just criminal gangs—they’re global business enterprises with ledgers, spreadsheets, and wire transfers.

CIBanco, Intercam, and Vector weren’t mom-and-pop check-cashers. These were full-scale institutions acting like washing machines for blood money. And under the guise of "legitimate banking," they were fueling the fentanyl crisis killing 100,000 Americans a year.

Let me say this clearly: this is as much an act of war as it is law enforcement. The U.S. government is finally starting to understand that fighting cartels requires financial warfare—not just border checkpoints and DEA raids.

And while the Biden administration dithered, President Trump teed up the legal tools to make this happen. The FEND Off Fentanyl Act and the Treasury’s new muscle show that the war on drugs isn’t dead—it just needed a better playbook.

Now let’s see if we’ve got the guts to go after American-based enablers next—because trust me, there are suits on Wall Street who aren’t exactly innocent bystanders in this mess either. A special shout out to Treasury’s FinCEN on their investigation!

COVID Whistleblower Warns: Chinese Scientists in U.S. Acting as Agents of CCP Theft

Dr. Li-Meng Yan, a Chinese-born doctor who fled her country after exposing truths about COVID-19, is now sounding the alarm on a broader, more sinister agenda: the systematic theft of U.S. research by Chinese scientists working in American institutions. According to Yan, these researchers are bound by secretive contracts with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to funnel intellectual property, scientific data, and technology back to China—posing a major national security risk.

Dr. C’s Take:
Let’s quit pretending this is just a “scholarly exchange.” What we’re dealing with is state-sponsored espionage wearing a lab coat. These aren’t rogue actors—they’re cogs in the CCP’s global theft machine. The United States has spent decades building the most advanced research infrastructure in the world—only to leave the backdoor wide open for Communist operatives disguised as grad students and visiting scholars.

This is not xenophobia, folks. It’s geopolitical reality. China isn’t sending scientists here for diplomas—they’re sending extractors. We’re talking biomedicine, AI, cybersecurity, agriculture—you name it. If it’s valuable, it’s vulnerable.

And finally a bit of levity, in what could only be described as a cirque du sobriété, CHP Officers pulled over a man for erratic driving, only to discover he was heavily intoxicated… and accompanied by a live monkey riding shotgun, wearing a tiny onesie in the passenger seat—along with marijuana and large amounts of cash. You know you’ve hit a new low when your designated driver has opposable thumbs and a tail.
