On Tuesday evening, I was the guest host for the Lou Desmond & Co. | 1490-KMET San Bernardino, 5pm Pacific/7pm Central. My guest was retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent, Attorney, and Townhall Columnist, John Nantz. In this 25m, unedited, no breaks, interview we discussed the post-election criminal justice system to include what the FBI should potentially look like under a new Trump Administration!
It was a great show as John always provides an honest assessment of the criminal justice system. In fact, this morning, Townhall released his most current Op Ed on “Trump’s Golden Opportunity To Make The FBI Great Again”. Please check out all his work on Townhall! In his Op Ed, John has some great suggestions for the next FBI Director. His short list for the potential FBI Director pick begins with Thomas G. Donlon. John says, “Donlon currently serves as New York City’s Police Commissioner. He retired from the FBI as Section Chief of the National Threat Center. He also served as ASAC of the New York Field Office’s Counterterrorism Division, and as a Program Manager in the Violent Crime Major Offenders Section of the FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force.” John added, “Another choice is accomplished, retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent James Gagliano. The well-respected Gagliano has been a thought leader on FBI reform. He’s held a CNN contributor-ship, has contributed numerous articles to Fox News, the New York Post, and other outlets, and is currently a doctoral candidate. Moreover, Gagliano was a member of the FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team and has garnered the esteem of his colleagues through a highly successful career.” Finally, John has chosen one of my personal favorites, Chris Swecker. John says “Chris is another highly qualified candidate for FBI Director and served as Assistant Director of the Criminal Investigative Division and has appeared numerous times on Fox News and other outlets presenting his always cogent analysis of FBI weaponization and overreach. Swecker is thoroughly equipped to create the necessary changes to bring about real reform.”
John has a brilliant conclusion to his Op Ed: “Trump has an unprecedented opportunity to give the American people the DOJ and FBI that the citizens of a free republic deserve. And, he has no lack of qualified picks, or of policy recommendations. It’s a new day in America, and soon, we’ll have an FBI denuded of DEI radicalization and headquarters politicization.” Bravo, John, Bravo!
If you wish to view my thoughts on the matter, you can read my Op Ed that I released in May of 2023 called “Federal Bureau of Investigation 2.0: A Model for Future Sucess.”
